🛑 Last $5K top prize claimed on New Mexico's Fiery 5s, still on sale
The $5 game has now had all 3 of its top prizes claimed, according to the lottery's published data. It remains on sale.
· New Mexico
The New Mexico lottery's own prizes-remaining data shows a top prize of $5K claimed on Fiery 5s, a $5 scratch-off. 0 of the 3 printed now remain.
The change appeared in the published data on October 7, 2026. Lotteries publish with a lag, so the prize itself may have been claimed a day or more earlier. The figures do not say who claimed it or where, and neither do we.
With no top prize left, Fiery 5s can still pay its smaller prizes, but it can no longer pay the prize on its poster. Lotteries are not required to pull a game when its top prizes run out, and generally do not.
Overall odds on Fiery 5s are 1 in 3.83. They were fixed at printing and describe the whole run, including every prize already claimed.

What this does not say
That any ticket is a good buy. Every scratch game returns less than it takes in, with or without its top prize.
Scratch Better is not affiliated with any state lottery and does not sell tickets. Rankings are relative, not a guaranteed edge.
